House is one of the oldest homes in the town. With a
wing added to the house in 1876, by the current owner's
grandfather, the Bailey House has not been structurally
altered, inside or out, making this location a must-see

family for more than 100 years.
With three rooms to choose from, Bed and Breakfast

visit. Each room is furnished with family antiques

enthusiasts, is the Bailey House's collection of Civil
War reading, featuring a large literary collection
focusing on General Ulysses S. Grant. The Purdys have
many stories of Ulysses' visits to the Bailey House and
his relationship with the Baileys. After enjoyig some
time in the library, guests can adjourn up stairs to
gaze at the train display in the attic.
The Bailey House Innkeepers
Welcoming guests are innkeepers Stan and Nancy Purdy.
The Bailey House has been in Nancy's family since 1876
and there are many tales of the home's past that Nancy
will be glad to share with guests. Both Stan and Nancy
have a great appreciation for former Civil War General
and U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant. You can have a
private tour of the Grant Boyhood Home and School while
staying at the Bailey House. There are other Civil War
sites nearby in Ripley and Maysville, Kentucky.
